The headquarters of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs is composed of arches of concrete, glass, empty spaces, surrounded by a reflecting pond, full of flowers, water plants and bushes.
The sculpture of Italian Bruno Giorgi, representing the five continents, complements Niemeyer´s design with landscape gardening by landscapist Burle Marx. Internally, the art of Alfredo Volpi, Portinari, Frans Weissmann, Athos Bulcão, Zélia Salgado among innumerable other artists can be seen framing the historical furniture.
